In restaurants and hotels, a chipped plate violates health and safety codes as chips in the piece can contaminate the food. That’s why our bowls go through 53 hand checks before being packaged to ship to you. In the rare case that your piece chips, we’ll gladly replace it, no questions asked.
Virtually Impossible to Chip
Our vitrification process occurs on the first firing of the plates to eliminate the pores of the plates or clay. By reducing the porousness of the piece, you reduce the water absorption making the plate more resistant to cracks and breakage.
